naturals, not neutrals

elizajatelier.com

Slow-made, one-of-a-kind pieces created from reclaimed textiles, vintage finds and collected materials.

Welsh woodland, roots and lush green undergrowth

Not new. Newly imagined.

Made, reworked, collected and passed on.

eliza j atelier is a small creative workshop rooted in sewing, story, vintage clothing and reuse. Each piece begins with something already in the world: a length of fabric, a fragment of embroidery, a pair of vintage jeans, an old painting, a tea towel, a remnant, a button, a stitch.

These materials are gathered, reworked and transformed into new pieces designed to be worn, used and enjoyed again.

Inspired by vintage clothing, traditional sewing skills, textile art, landscape, colour and the quiet pleasure of making something slowly and carefully by hand.

The Workshop is currently being developed as a future space for handmade pieces, reworked clothing, workshops, sewing support and selected collaborations.

My Story

I learned to sew from my mother, born in 1928 — and my relationship with making began long before I picked up a needle myself.
